The Society for Advanced Spinal Intervention (SASI) is a unifying global society whose purpose is to educate, train, and credential physicians from multidisciplinary backgrounds on a worldwide scale.
Focused on the implementation of a cost-effective healthcare delivery model for interventional pain medicine, interventional radiology, neurosurgery, and orthopedic spine surgery, SASI will develop and implement a thorough program of education and training. Accreditation from SASI will serve as the gold standard for those in the field of spinal intervention.
Spine surgery has evolved over the last ten years with the increased use of both X-ray and computer navigation. The development of less invasive and more effective techniques and technologies has opened the door to the multidisciplinary future of spine surgery.
Advocacy & awareness
SASI is dedicated to the education, training, and professional representation of the emerging field of multidisciplinary spine surgery. This cost-effective healthcare delivery model aims to include interventional radiologists, interventional pain physicians, neurosurgeons, and orthopedic spine surgeons. Committed to promoting these values, principles, and knowledge globally, SASI will advocate for providing cost-effective global spine care with a significant focus on the education and training of doctors from around the world.
SASI training & credentialing
The Society of Advanced Spinal Intervention is establishing a US-based training and credentialing program that will provide the necessary knowledge and expertise for doctors from around the world, with a plan that SASI will offer the same training module globally within a year. It is SASI’s intention to educate and assist the international healthcare community in establishing training programs that will provide local doctors with the necessary skills and expertise required to provide spinal intervention economically and effectively.
Join the global cause
Establishing itself as the global professional society representing the interests of spine care for the future, SASI will guide and motivate doctors and governments in the creation of a cost-effective healthcare delivery system. Through its spirited advocacy, SASI will engage in productive and meaningful dialogue with insurance companies, governments, and private payers, working in a collaborative effort to advance education, research and development, and the clinical provision of advanced spinal intervention.
